Funding Information

The FEEE (Free Early Education Entitlement) schemes are available to all eligible parents and carers at Ashdon Childrens Nursery across the 38 funded weeks, between 8.00am and 5.15pm Monday to Thursday. There are no fees or charges payable to access the funded hours schemes. Additional non-funded hours of attendance and meals and snacks are however chargeable.

9 Months+ and Two-Year Old Funding

If you are eligible for the funded hours, then to receive it you must complete an online HMRC application. Here is a link to the application information:

Three-and Four-Year-Old Funding

If you are eligible for the 30 funded hours, then to receive it you must complete an online HMRC application. Here is a link to the application information:

Once you have completed the online application you will receive an eligibility code. Please complete the parent agreement form (more information below), adding your eligibility code, your NI number and how many funded hours per term-time week you would like to use at Ashdon Childrens Nursery.

Please note you do also have to reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months to keep your code valid, but this is straightforward if your circumstances have not changed, and we can provide you with details on how to do this. You will also receive an email from HMRC reminding you to reconfirm.

If you're not eligible for the 30 funded hours, then to receive the Three- and Four-Year-Old 15 funded hours all you will need to do is complete a parent agreement form (an eligibility code and an online application is not required for 15 hours).

Parent Agreement Form

One single form is now being used for all Funded Early Education Entitlements so not all sections on the form will be applicable to you. A guidance document can be found here.         

Therefore, if you would like to claim funded hours and use them at Ashdon Childrens Nursery during, we will require a completed parent agreement form please.

Attendance and Charge Examples

Example 1

If your child attends 18.5 hours per week and you are eligible for 15 funded hours, then during the funded weeks, 3.5 hours per week will be chargeable, plus meals and snacks. Then for any non-funded weeks 18.5 hours per week, plus meals and snacks, will be chargeable.

Example 2

If your child attends 37 hours per week and you are eligible for 30 funded hours, then during the funded weeks, 7 hours per week will be chargeable, plus meals and snacks. Then for any non-funded weeks 37 hours per week, plus meals and snacks, will be chargeable.
