Welcome

Welcome

We know that we have a great responsibility to give our children the very best start in life. Life is a learning journey for us all, we never stop learning no matter how old we are. Children learn best when they want to learn. Therefore, motivation is very important to be an effective learner. Learning is greatly enhanced when experiences are stimulating, different and exciting all of which we strive to offer at Ashdon Childrens Nursery.

One aim of the nursery is to enable every child to achieve their full potential. We understand that each child and family is unique and so we encourage families to share with us their child’s needs and interests so we can do all we can to help a child progress and flourish. Additional aims of the nursery include:
  • To help each child develop independence and a love of learning and curiosity about the world around them.
  • To offer a wide range of experiences and learning opportunities, for children to experiment, explore, play, discover and become happy confident lifelong learners.
  • To make the nursery a friendly, warm homely environment, where all children feel safe, nurtured and part of one big happy family.
  • To offer professional advice about many aspects of children’s early development and learning.
  • To provide equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice for all children and families according to their individual needs
As nursery practitioners we are in a privileged position to see children grow and develop. We witness their happiness every day as they have fun, play and learn. Whatever age a child joins us, as a tiny baby or at preschool age, we will provide a safe, happy, healthy, stimulating and enriching learning environment that offers the very best start possible. Children attending Ashdon Childrens Nursery become resilient, confident and lifelong learners. We aim for every child to achieve their full potential and for them to discover that their views and decisions are valid and respected.
